To quote Robert Burns, "The best-laid schemes o' mice an' men gang aft agley!" I had great plans to keep up with my blog this summer, to finally get my studio completely arranged, and to work on some pieces for a couple of friends that are looong over-due. However, that has not quite worked out. Apparently the Lord had other plans--plans in the form of a premature nephew whom I've been going to see quite frequently the past three weeks and the death of my husband's grandmother. Needless to say, blogging and jewelry making has taken a back seat to these happenings. Thankfully, though, my nephew is progressing well, and I even had the privilege of holding him yesterday. We also know that MeeMaw has met her Heavenly Father and been reunited with her long-missed husband, Papa. Things should be getting back to normal most days of the week starting Sunday night...we shall see.
In the midst of the turmoil, there was a brief respite; I was able to teach the class on riveting to my jewelry guild that was scheduled for the end of June. It was so much fun! I cannot wait to be asked to teach another class!
